Welcome baby Piper!

My sister and her husband had their 4th baby on Saturday, Piper.

Her and Gretchen are only 2 1/2 months apart , but look how big Gretchen looks!

It can also be worn as a shirt when she gets a little older.

Sewing project - take 2

So, I attempted my sewing project again and was very happy with the results! I even got some great pictures of Gretchen modeling the item , but since it is a gift for my sisters baby, Piper (is that how you spell it?), who hasn't been born yet , I will wait to post the pictures. Should be any day now...

In case you have been wondering what Gretchen has been up to these last couple months...

• She has been to 3 doctor appointments
  
• celebrated 2 birthdays in her family (not including hers)
• celebrated 2 holidays
• she has been baptised
• she has been to church, Ikea, Costco, Target, Old Navy, Haggen and Fred Meyer
• she has met many uncles, aunts, cousins and other family members, and been passed around a lot
• she had her first cold, and recovered
• she has received a million kisses and hugs
  she has gone to 1 funeral
• She smiles and coos and sometimes cries
• She loves to sleep with her mommy
• She loves to cry when her daddy is holding her , just to freek him out
• she has beautiful blue eyes and blond hair

Sewing project and a fat chin

I was trying to make a pillowcase dress for a gift but the dimensions were a little off, not bad for my first try, though. I usually try to make things by looking at something and messing around with it , I'm not really a pattern kind of girl.

Ava was not too happy to be my model.
