Harvest Party

Travis has been working so much lately that when he got off early on Thursday, we decided to throw a last minute party.

Veteran's Day

We went on a walk today to collect leaves for an art project and I thought this was an appropriate picture to post today.

Tulips 2009

I took the kids to see the tulips Monday, which resulted in some nice pictures and Ryan throwing up just before bed because he was dehydrated.

I guess I need to make sure they get enough water now that the sun is here!

Enjoying the sun

Since the sun has gone away here are some pictures of the kids enjoying the sun earlier this week

I got Ryan the Usborne Illustrated Stories for Boys and he read it for 2 days, he even read it while he was swinging on the swing.

This is a great new game that I got for the kids, called Royal Rescue. There are different challenges and you have to figure out how to get the knight to the princess.

Sydney and Ava both really liked this, it's great because it has different levels of difficulty so they each could do it.





Every time Ava would figure it out she would have the princess say (in a very princessy voice) "My hero!"

First Day of Spring

We had a special day to celebrate the first day of spring. The kids all got Cadbury Creme Eggs, which they had never had before, and loved them.

Then we did a flower craft,

and had a picnic in the living room,


and with their yogurt cups they each planted some seeds.

Take time to smell the lilacs

Lilacs are definitely one of my favorite flowers, not only because of there awesome smell, but because when they come out it means spring is here.

I've been waiting for this

The sun was out on Sunday, so we bundled up and headed to the park

As the kids get older winter gets harder, I feel so couped up in the house, so it was great to feel spring weather

I got Sydney and Ava some new spring dresses and Ava experienced grass for the first time
